Nokia 8800/8800 Sirocco Edition

Nokia 8800 Sirocco Edition came in a nice box similar to that of the 8800, except with a little extra inside. Instead of a velvet pouch, the sirocco comes with a leather pouch and a leather cloth to clean the phone with. As with the normal 8800, the sirocco comes with two batteries with a higher rate which provides significantly longer battery life. Unlike the 8800 which had a standby time of one day, the sirocco can last anywhere between two till three days. This time, about the desktop charger included with the sirocco was colour coded with the phone. In fact, every accessory included with the phone is colour co-ordinated with the phones. And not only did they included a wired down handsfree-kit, there was a bluetooth one as well. Presumably, the bluetooth kit was for driving, while the wired one was for listening to the radio. And unlike the blue glow the 8800 had, the sirocco's charger glowed a white hue which would have been a little bland on the silver one. The sirocco is very similar to the 8800 (the earpiece is slightly different, thumbrest has had a redesign, and the navigation button has been altered along with the two visible hotkeys when the phone is closed). In terms of features, the 8800 boasts a 2mp camera the 8800 never had, as well as a larger memory capacity (100Mb). On the down side, the software on the sirocco was laggy and because people are used to the traditional nokia layout for sms, texting on the sirocco proved a slightly more frustrating event. Another complaint was that the zamapara ringtone famous on the 8800 has been replaced, and the new themes completely bad. No other complaints for now because its such a pretty phone.
