 Bamboo carving--- is  a  traditional Chinese handicraft which has thousands years’ history. It carved character, picture, animal and plant on bamboo or bamboo’s root. As auspicious Chinese sayings go, bamboo is considered as the symbol of prosperity, wealth and safety. Once upon a time, there was a period that people carved characters on the bamboo slips to keep records. Later, books made of bamboo slips were created to convey cultural information.
