  Zinc Stearate   1.          Formula: Zn(C 17 H 35 COO) 2 2.       Properties: Zinc stearate is white or light yellow powder. It is dissolved in hot alcohol; but not in water. It can be decomposed into stearic acid and corresponding salt by strong acid.
