MB-1 marker beacon is widely used as ground radio navigation equipment in double-beacon landing system, ILS or on the fairway, it can provide fixed signal symbol for airplanes which have marker beacon when they prepare to land or fly over symbol spot.

Remote control unit, normally located in the control tower, can display the working status; indicate alarm conditions of RF output, modulation, power supply, transmission failure.

13.Inspection and automatic changeover

Continuously inspect RF (power), modulation (signal) and power supply. When the alarm threshold below is exceeded, automatically switch to standby machine in 3 seconds. When both main unit and standby unit go wrong, stop transmitting signal .

l         RF output power descend to 50±10% of normal;

l         Modulation percentage descend down to50±10% or keyed identification signal pause;

l         AC power supply failure.

Remote control unit will also emit sound and light alarm when changeover happens.

14.Operating distance of remote control

Remote control uses a pair of 600W telephone line. Effect distance³10Km when loop resistance £2kW. 

15.Power supply

       AC: 220V±15%, 50Hz, single phase. When RF output power is 2.5W, current does not exceed 3A.

DC: 24+3-2V, when RF output power is 2.5W, current does not exceed 1.5A.
